Simon Kingsbury

Simon has been a senior member of the compliance industry for many years, covering the regulatory environment of a broad range of business lines. Simon has developed and led teams in a variety of compliance disciplines and represented multiple aspects of compliance at senior executive and Board of Director levels.

Since 2010 Simon has held global and regional MLRO roles for a number of financial services firms, as the MLRO for Citigroup EMEA before moving to the Royal Bank of Scotland, HSBC and then Danske Bank prior to his current role at Barclays as MLRO for Barclays UK. The roles he has undertaken have required strategic and operational delivery at the most senior level throughout a period of significant change in the industry. Simon was involved at the outset in the creation of public private partnerships to address financial crime risk. Over the last decade, he has worked with partners in both the public and private sector to develop and enhance the broader aspects of the UK Government’s efforts to combat financial crime.
