Simon Woods

Simon has over 22 years of experience in energy trading.  Simon Joined Unipec UK in 2012 to establish an in-house legal and compliance function to support the company in its expanding UK and worldwide crude oil and products trading operations.  Simon began his career in the industry with Total and has also worked for Bear Stearns and Hess before joining Unipec.  Historically Simon has worked predominately as a transactional lawyer and still has this practice but is increasingly focused on a range of compliance issues.  His approach to compliance is one of pro-activity.  Simon holds an LLM from the University of Warwick and an LLM in commercial law from the University of Bristol.
