Sarah Fairman

Sarah Fairman has 20 years financial services experience of which 14 years has been spent in Internal Audit. She joined the London Stock Exchange Group in December 2021 to head the Data & Analytics business audit. The London Stock Exchange Group acquired Refinitiv in 2020 to be one of the world’s largest providers of financial market data and infrastructure. The business obtains, analyses and utilises techniques such as AI and machine learning to provide insights for trading, banking, investment, wealth, enterprise and 3rd party risk data.

Sarah joined from Barclays Bank PLC where she held a variety of executive audit roles covering the investment, corporate and retail bank.  Latterly, she was responsible for the corporate functions audit team as well as Chief Auditor for the Barclays Retirement Fund. Sarah started her career in the first line and moved into risk; having both credit and operational risk roles before joining Internal Audit.  Sarah is a qualified treasurer, with an economics degree from Cardiff University. She is a Chartered Internal Auditor and a member of the IIA.
