Marie-Christine Crewe
Marie-Christine (MC) Crewe has 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. She started her career at UBS in Geneva after a two-year UBS Allround Traineeship program, taking a position in the Internal Audit department and later moved with UBS to Zurich and then London and assumed a number of credit risk roles. In 2000, MC joined Rabobank International, heading the global Credit Control Department. She then moved to Barclays Capital in 2005 as head of the Traded Products Exposure Management group and successfully led an off-shoring initiative. MC rejoined UBS in 2007 as the Head of IB Risk Control Operations which she developed into a utility for data and controls within Group Risk Control. In 2015, she relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, as Head of Group Risk Control Nashville where she provided local leadership in the nearshoring of the Compliance, Financial Crime, Operational and Primary/Enterprise risk activities. In 2018, she joined the Compliance & Operational Risk Control (C&ORC) team as the Americas Head of Monitoring & Surveillance and later became the Interim Head of C&ORC in the Americas. In April 2019, MC relocated to New York to assume the role of Head of Operational Risk in the Americas. MC is originally from the Swiss Alps and has subsequently lived in many different cities and countries. In 2021, she has finally returned to her Swiss roots, taking global leadership of Monitoring, Surveillance & Controls out of Zurich.
