Emma Bredin was the Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer for BNY Mellon and its affiliates and subsidiaries. She is responsible for all Compliance staff covering all business functions and legal entities, financial crimes, the Compliance program of regulatory change, risk assessment and testing, Financial Crime/KYC and Employee Compliance including the Ethics Office. Emma joined BNY Mellon in 2021, from Raymond James Financial where she was the Chief Compliance Officer, responsible for leading and transforming its global Compliance organization. Prior to that, Emma was at Citigroup, where she was Managing Director and Head of Enterprise Compliance Risk Management. Before her time at Citigroup, she was a Compliance officer at MetLife, and at the start of her career specialized in corporate and insurance law at the law firm of LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene and MacRae.
