Alasdair Amos

Alasdair is currently Global Surveillance Optimisation Lead at Natixis having previously held roles at Barclays, Europe and Asia Head of Surveillance at Royal Bank of Canada, and Senior Associate at the Financial Conduct Authority.  Prior to this he read Physical and Theoretical Chemistry at the University of Cambridge. In his eight years at the FCA Alasdair worked on a wide range of Insider Dealing and Market Manipulation investigations before moving into the Surveillance team where he led on the supervision of firms’ surveillance programmes and provided significant technical input into the drafting of the MAR STOR Requirements. Since leaving the FCA he has focused on making Surveillance programmes more effective and efficient using technology, data and innovative techniques, whilst navigating an ever evolving governance and regulatory landscape.
