Steef Akerboom

Steef Akerboom is managing the Market Surveillance-team within the Capital Markets and Data division at the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) since 2018. He is responsible for a team of 15 supervisors/data scientists that detect market abuse on the commodities-, bonds- and equity-markets based in the Netherlands. Before joining the AFM, Steef worked at the Dutch Central Bank, the Dutch State Treasury Agency (DSTA) and the Dutch Ministry of Finance. He holds an MSc in Monetary Economics from the University of Tilburg.
