Sim Roberts is the Global Head of Transaction Monitoring for Barclays within Compliance Services. In this role he is responsible for the future direction of suspicious activity detection and the effective running of the models in use today.
Sim joins Barclays from Morgan Stanley, where he was responsible for the strategic development of TM and parts of Trade Surveillance. Prior to that he set up and ran the HSBC Commercial Bank strategic transformation portfolio which included digitisation, re-platforming, AI/ML integration.
Sim started his career in Strategy Consulting with L.E.K. Consulting and later Bain and Company before focusing on financial services.
Sim holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering.
