Scott is a Partner in PwC's Forensic Services practice, focussed on Financial Crime technology and analytics. He has over 15 years of experience of advising on and implementing financial crime controls, including those related to money laundering, sanctions, fraud and bribery and corruption, in both the private and public sector. Scott focuses on the use of technology and analytics to assist in the effective and efficient implementation of financial crime control frameworks.
Scott is passionate about the use of an intelligence led approach to preventing and detecting financial crime. Helping clients to understand the intelligence that can be gained from different sources, such as prior investigations, data both within an organisation and outside it, and regulatory and guidance documents. Then looking at how this intelligence can be used to identify different financial crime risks an organisation is exposed to based on their specific make up. Finally, helping clients to tailor their analytical tools and technology to use this intelligence to mitigate the risks for the products and services they provide and the customers they provide them to, so that they can be used to monitor for the specific financial crime risks on an ongoing basis.
