Sally Clark, Board Member, Metro Bank and Former Chief Internal Auditor, Barclays
I am currently in the portfolio stage of my career. At present, I am on the Board of Metro Bank sitting on their audit and remuneration committees and operating as the NED for Workforce Engagement. I am a Senior Advisor to a RegTech start up ACIN, which works in the area of Non-Financial Risk Management, and about to go onto their newly established Board. I run my own Coaching Company, Frattina Services Ltd and am coaching several senior financial services executives. I am an Associate at Pelham Street Executive coaching and working primarily with them on Transition Coaching - where people have an inflection point, such as a new role or a promotion. In my prior life, I spent 33 years in Financial services, primarily in Internal Audit roles. I worked at JPMorganChase, RBS and Barclays where I was latterly the Chief Internal Auditor for the company. As such I sat on the Executive Committee of the Bank and I reported directly to the Board. I won an award for Inspirational Leadership within the IA and Risk world, and an award for Kindness in Leadership. At Barclays, I championed various Diversity Initiatives and was the Global Corporate Sponsor for Wellbeing. I coached, mentored and sponsored people throughout my corporate career as I am passionate about people and their development and have loved to help many people achieve their potential. To help me I decided to study coaching and gained a Diploma in Executive coaching from Strathclyde University whilst at JPMorganChase. I also have an MBA from Warwick University and a BA in English and Comparative Literature. In my personal life, I am married with four grown up children. I love to travel, bought a campervan for travels in retirement, have learned the art of growing vegetables. I have become passionate about Black Lives Matter and am working with a group of people to increase the number of Black faces getting onto Boards in major companies.
