Michael Henry

Mike Henry has served as BETM’s Compliance Director and Senior Compliance Counsel since March of 2019.

Mike has more than 20 years of experience in the energy industry, where he has worked for a private law firm, the federal government, a non-profit advocacy organization, and power marketing and energy trading companies.   He spent 11 years in various positions at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, including in the Office of General Counsel and on the staffs of then-Commissioner Joseph T. Kelliher and Chairman Jon Wellinghoff.  More recently, he has worked for private energy trading companies, where he has been responsible for regulatory and compliance matters associated with merchant power, energy services, trading, and marketing activities.

Mike holds a joint JD and Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Austin and a BA from Georgetown University.
