Matt Smith

Matt Smith is the CEO of SteelEye, a compliance technology firm that sets out to establish and maintain trust in the financial markets by making it easy for financial firms to accurately comply with financial regulation. Matt has over 20 years of experience in technology and management. Throughout his career he has helped firms implement major development initiatives and IT infrastructure projects, including derivative and physical trading systems, ERP solutions, risk systems, finance systems and regulatory solutions. Prior to co-founding SteelEye, Matt was the Chief Information Officer for a global, $100bn trading company –responsible for regulatory technology and the deployment of big data, trading and analytics platforms. He also spent time at Bloomberg delivering financial regulation and compliance solutions.
