Joelle Ogg

Joelle Ogg is Chief Legal Officer and corporate secretary of DC Energy Management, LP, DC Energy Holdings, LLC and certain other affiliates. At DC Energy, Ms. Ogg provides counsel on regulatory, commercial, contractual and compliance issues related to the energy markets.

Prior to joining DC Energy, Ms. Ogg focused on energy regulatory and transactional issues as a partner with the law firm Brunenkant Law Firm (previously Brunenkant & Cross), and as an associate with the law firms Williams Mullen and John & Hengerer (previously John, Hengerer & Esposito). Ms. Ogg has assisted energy traders, natural gas suppliers, power marketers, municipal utilities, independent power producers, transmission developers, natural gas pipelines and energy trade associations by structuring, negotiating and reviewing commercial transactions and providing regulatory and compliance assistance on Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Commodity Futures Trading Commission, State public utility commissions, and Department of Energy matters.

In addition, Ms. Ogg is on the North American Energy Board (NAESB) Advisory Council and the NAESB Board Digital Committee.  She also has served as special counsel for NAESB and facilitated the Coalition for Uniform Business Rules’ efforts to develop uniform business rules and standard electronic transactions for the retail electricity and natural gas markets.

Ms. Ogg earned a J.D. with Honors from George Washington University Law School and a B.A., Cum Laude, Honors in Political Science from Wellesley College.
