Managing Director, Chief Auditor, Citigroup
Jessica Roos was named Citi's Chief Auditor in April 2019. She is responsible for the Internal Audit department, which includes the delivery of audit assurance on governance, risk management and the control environment across Citigroup. She joined Citi Internal Audit in 2014 and, prior to her current role, was the Chief Auditor for the Institutional Clients Group (ICG). Previously, she was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers in their Banking and Capital Markets practice. Jessica has over 20 years of experience serving financial services-related clients. She has worked with investment banks, hedge funds, mortgage, consumer and commercial banks. Her clients included large multi-national banks, specialty finance funds and corporations. She led audit engagements for some of PwC's largest and most complex capital markets engagements, led teams, and developed due diligence and audit plans for the acquisition of target companies. Jessica evaluated complex financial instruments for appropriate accounting treatment and she has assessed the methodologies and assumptions for valuing financial instruments and reserving for loan losses. Jessica has worked in a number of environments to assess processes and procedures, determine appropriate controls, provide control gap analysis and make recommendations for remediation. She has worked with senior management to create board and business-level policies related to risk and reserving practices. As a controller in the private wealth market, she managed a team for a regional private wealth management firm. Jessica is a Certified Public Accountant, a Member of the AICPA and is Chartered Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (CMIIA).
