Elaine is serving as a non-executive member of the Audit and Risk Assurance Committee of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) which has more than £14.1 billion budget, approx. 34,000 staff with partner organisations and includes fighting Covid 19, leading economic recovery, post BREXIT trade, climate change and clean energy in its brief. She is also a Board member of the Cambridge University Endowment fund manager, Cambridge Investment Management Limited and of the Tesco pension fund manager, TPIFM Limited. Elaine has held global executive positions and from 2006-2019 was global head of Compliance for JPMorgan Asset Management, accountable for the global Compliance advisory, risk assessment and monitoring programme for a large cross border asset management business within a global financial services business. She managed a team with 130+ staff in 11 countries in UK, EU, APAC (including China) and Americas and previously advised governments and multi-sector corporations as a commercial lawyer with Slaughter and May. Elaine has an MA in Law from Oxford University and is a Solicitor.
