Darren Jarvis is the ICG Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) at Citi and is based in London. Reporting to Paco Ybarra, CEO of Citi’s Institutional Client Group, Darren’s role is to work with ICG Business Heads, their respective control leads and the firm’s Second Line and Internal Audit partners, to support Citi’s focus on the control framework across ICG. In addition, Darren leads a number of cross-ICG control projects, represents the ICG on cross-Citi control initiatives and has oversight for the non-financial risks of the business, change management and regulatory engagement. Darren is the business lead for a new initiative within Citi on neurodiversity. Previously, Darren was the Global Head of Business Controls and Supervision for the Markets Business at Citigroup. In this role, Darren had responsibility for the co-ordination of the First Line controls across all the Markets business. Prior to taking up this role Darren was the Chief Auditor for the ICG within the Internal Audit Department at Citi. Before joining Citi Darren had over 20 years of experience as a senior internal auditor in wholesale banking, working at Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley. Darren is an FCA Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAEW) where he serves on the Institute Board. He is a Board member for ACIN Limited and a Freeman of the City of London.
