Aida Abou-Rahme is a Managing Director and Head of Fixed Income BU Risk Management for EMEA. In this role, Aida is responsible for all aspects of risk identification, management and oversight across all categories of non-market risk including counterparty and client risk, operational risk, electronic trading risk, conduct, franchise and regulatory risks. This includes responsibility for divisional monitoring, surveillance and controls. She chairs key transactional and trade review groups to review, challenge and where appropriate approve requests that exhibit a degree of complexity and / or risk. Prior to her current role, Aida held senior positions with responsibility for a range of global and regional regulatory relationship management and change implementation programs including most recently as the Global Head of Recovery and Resolution based in NY. She spent several years as the EMEA Head of Prudential Regulatory Relations based in London where she was the central regulatory relationship manager for the PRA and played a key role in maintaining open, productive and proactive relationships with the regulators. Aida joined Morgan Stanley in 2006 from AT Kearney Management Consultancy where she gained cross-industry experience and specialised in process improvement and organisational efficiency. Over the years at Morgan Stanley, she has worked across a range of divisions within the Firm including Sales & Trading, Finance, Corporate Treasury and Legal & Compliance. Aida gained her degree in Structural & Civil Engineering from University College London.
