Voice transcription technology has undergone a substantial evolution in the past 18 months: It is more accurate and can be used for a wider array of languages including Hindi and even Singlish, Singapore’s colloquial form of English which includes Malay, Tamil and Chinese words. One participant predicted that financial institutions would soon enjoy “the ability to have near real-time translation service, and that's a game changer.” Banks no longer need to hire language specialists to
review non-English communication, and that makes surveillance more efficient.
